Shadow Puppet Play in China 皮影戏
Shadow puppet play(皮影戏píyǐngxì), which also called "shadow play", is a drama form in which the player holds the human figures that are engraved(carve, cut, or etch into a material or surface) by the animal hides with colored paintings, and reflected on the curtain through the light, singing and dancing controlled by the player with the silk string, drums music and gongs, playing a series of stories. It is widely spread in most regions in China, except Tibet and Xinjiang, with different styles of shadow puppet play in different places. However, the characters shaping and performance skills are all quite exquisite, with play themes including the Chinese ancient magic, myths, religions, monarchs(the monarch of a country is the king, queen, emperor, or empress), legal cases, wars, as well as talented scholars and pretty ladies, the secular life.

The Badaling Great Wall(八达岭长城Bādálĭng Chángchéng) is located in Yanqing County, about 60 kilometres north-west of Beijing,and stands at the strategic highest point from north-west to beijing in China.It is the important pass for protecting Beijing City with the name of "the Key to the North Gate of Beijing","To look down at Juyong Pass from the Badaling Great Wall is like to pour water from a higher place or watch down a deep well". The ancient people had the saying that "the strategic position of Juyong Pass does not lie in Guan city,but Badaling" which indicates its utmost strategic position.
About the Capital Cities and Tombs of the Ancient Koguro Kingdom 高句丽王朝
The ancient Koguro Kingdom(高句丽王朝Gāogōulí wángcháo), known as the Gaojuli Kingdom, was first built in 37 B.C in Han Dynasty and fell to the Silla-Tang alliance in 668 A.D. The city was sacked several times until the rise of the 19th ruler king Gwanggae to the Great, who greatly expanded Koguro’s territory and made it a formidable power in the northeast Asia. The boundary of the kingdom in its heyday even covered the whole area of present North Korea and Northeast China.
