Introduction-Great Wall Of China

Unlike other Natural and Cultural Heritage Sites, the Great Wall Of China embraces such broad dimensions that nothing else can compare with. It runs across Northern China from east to west, providing protection to agricultural civilisation and ancient trading routes. It spans the history of China from past to present, witnessing the rise and fall of powers and dynasties.

The good day for a pig ride

When you’re wooing a girl there seems to some socially accepted steps to do so. You know, first off talk to her, and later get her phone number after "accidently" bumping into her (after waiting for said "accidental" opportunity for an hour.) Than after a quick bit ask her out, give some flowers, yata yata yata and so on. Now maybe subconsciously(your subconscious is the part of your mind that can influence you or affect your behaviour even though you are not aware of it) I don’t know what these steps are, or maybe I just don’t like them, so in short to woo a girl I take her on a trip, and then can’t find a bus home and end up hitchhiking in the back of a farmer’s truck with her and a pig. Yep…I’m smooth.

Strawberry Day in China

Who don't know what a strawberry day is, it is a current term that I have put into creation(you can refer to something that someone has made as a creation, especially if it shows skill, imagination, or artistic ability) that refers to not a good but also not a bad day. You know, sometimes when you eat a strawberry it's nice and sweet, and some times when you eat them they're sour as can be, and sometimes you get one that's just in between sweet and sour, and it's just good enough to not spit out. That's what a strawberry day is, it's in between good and bad. And it just so happens that on this strawberry day, I went strawberry picking.

All train rides in China

I enjoy having fun as much as the next guy, I really do. You ask me to go rock climbing, I’m down. You ask me to go jump over some fire, why not! You ask me to jump off a cliff into water, and you know what I’ll do it, you know why? Because all those things, granted are a little dangerous, but really fun! However, I believe everything has a line, and yes I cross that line a lot, but you know what when it comes to fun sometimes that line should be deeply etched into the ground, I draw that line when comes to riding trains in China! I see that line and I respect it, but sometimes I have to go and cross it.

Glamorous autumn landscape painting in Guilin

The October marks the harvest time of paddy(a paddy or a paddy field is a field that is kept flooded with water and is used for growing rice) rice in Guilin(桂林Guìlín); it is also the golden season for our hiking lovers. Recently, I joined a hiking trip organized by a Hiking Club and had the opportunity to admire the idyllic scenery of Huixian County (会仙乡) in Lingui (临桂), a part of Guilin. Azure sky, golden waves of rice paddies, and simple folk customs, left us very good memories.

Our Plateau and Highland Barley of China

People on a highland(elevated (e.g., mountainous) land) rising three to four thousand meters above sea level, there is no more festival thing than harvesting. In China, on the roof of the world, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Yarlung Tsangpo River dashes out of snowy mountains to the bottom of South Tibet, nourishes the most flourishing farm belt of Tibet – Shigatse. Generations of Tibetan have been here planting highland barley, their staple food. By virtue of nutrition and energy given by highland barley, they doggedly survived in this untraversed(not traveled over or through) highland.
