M: 对了,but you ate a lot, 你吃了很多, nǐ chīle hěn duō.
S: Now, can you guys at home say, ‘yesterday I drank a lot of beer’? I never have to say this, but some of you might need to. Remember, ‘to drink’ is 喝 hē. Try it. Pretend you have a hangover.
M: Duìle. 我昨天晚上喝了很多啤酒。wǒ zuótiān wǎnshàng hēle hěnduō píjiǔ.
S: ML, why don’t you say, ‘yesterday evening I drank too much beer’, and sound really ill.
M: Ok. 我昨天晚上喝了太多啤酒wǒ zuótiān wǎnshàng hēle tài duō píjiǔ.
S: So did I. 我也是。 wǒ yě shì.
M: Oh dear!
S: But, dàn shì, the day before yesterday, qiántiān, I drank very little. 但是,前天我喝得很少 dàn shì, qiántiān wǒ hēde hěn shǎo.
M: 不对,前天你喝了很多qiántiān nǐ hēle hěn duō.
S: Help me, everybody. Remember ‘a glass of beer’?. Duìle. 一杯啤酒, yī bēi píjiǔ. Now say, ‘that’s not right, the day before yesterday he only drank one glass of beer’

S: If you did, your Chinese is great, and thanks for standing up for me. Xièxiè. As a reward, you can now learn to say, ‘the day after tomorrow’.
M: 后天,‘the day after tomorrow’. Hòu tiān. HOU TIAN, hòutiān.
S: So answer this, everybody. 后天我要去哪儿?hòutiān wǒ yào qù nǎr?
M: Hén hǎo. I’m sure you said, 后天你要去酒吧 hòu tiān nǐ yào qù jiǔbā.
S: ML, will you also go to the bar the day after tomorrow? 曼丽,后天你也去酒吧吗? hòu tiān nǐyěqù jiǔbā ma?
M: Is the treat on you? 你请客吗? nǐ qǐng kè ma?
