商务部发布，今年前三季度，全国实际使用外资金额886亿美元，同比增长6.22%；其中9月当月同比增长4.88%，为连续8个月正增长。商务部表态，中国吸引外资优势仍然存在，预计全年吸收外资规模仍将保持相对稳定。

Foreign direct investment in China maintained steady growth in September along with the pickup in the world’s second-largest economy.

随着中国这一世界第二大经济体的经济复苏，九月份国内的外国直接投资量也保持稳步增长。

 Foreign direct investment就是“外国直接投资”，或“外商直接投资”，简称FDI。为了吸引更多外资，今年又出台了新政策，包括curbing approval procedures（缩减审批程序）和streamlining registrations（简化注册手续）。

现在政府正致力于进一步改善外国投资的management mechanism（管理机制），目的是为所有market players（市场竞争者）营造一个transparent and level-playing environment（透明、公平的环境）。

分析人士认为，未来关注的主要问题是如何achieve productivity growth matching wage growth（实现劳动生产率与工资同步增长），以及解决skills mismatch（技能不匹配）的问题，即finding and retaining skilled employees（寻找并留住技术熟练的员工）。
