Song Ci: to the tune “Lady Yu”
Li Yu: to the tune "Lady Yu" (transl. Hans Frankel)
Spring blossoms and autumn moon – when will they end? How much has happened in the past!
On the balcony last night, again an east wind, the moon was so bright, I couldn't bear to look toward my old kingdom.
The carved galleries and jade steps must still be there, only the rosy cheeks have changed.
I ask you, how much sorrow can there be? It's just like a whole river full of eastward flow in spring.
Zhongyuan Festival in Guilin City of China
September the 3rd, a special day in China(中国Zhōngguó), the Chinese Zhongyuan Festival(中元节Zhōngyuán Jié) comes. For Chinese people, there are two kinds of calendars we are using among centuries, the solar calendar and the lunar one, the solar one is the same date as the one we usually talk about in our daily lives while the lunar one was commonly used in the old China but is still being used by many people to record their birthdays, the date and it is even used to judge the lucky level on each day and it is used to keep the agricultural seasons for the farmers. Today is the July 15 of the lunar calendar, the traditional Chinese festival today is also called the Hungry Ghost. I have witnessed the celebration activities in Guilin City.
Lenovo CEO gave away a great bonus to workers
For the second consecutive year, Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing plans to give away at least $3 million of his bonus to roughly 10,000 of his company's workers, Bloomberg News reports. Employees across 20 countries will take part in Yuanqing's wealth with 85 percent of payout recipients working in China.
The average payout per worker of $325 is nearly equivalent to a month’s pay for an employee in China.
A company spokesperson told Bloomberg that a majority of the workers who will receive part of the bonus will be hourly employees who are not eligible for other bonus programs.
Yuanqing's generosity may be partly inspired by his company's record sales this year. In the second quarter, Lenovo passed Hewlett-Packard as the world’s number one supplier of personal computers.
As CEO pay has exploded over the last couple of decades, the gap between how much executives make compared with their workers continues to skyrocket. For S&P 500 companies, the average ratio of CEO-to-worker pay was 204 in 2012, Bloomberg reports. That figure is up 20 percent from 2009 and 1,000 percent from 1950.

Chinese Literature: Chinese Classical Poetry
Among the earliest and most influential poetic anthologies was the Chuci (Songs of Chu) , made up primarily of poems ascribed to the semi-legendary Qu Yuan (屈原) (ca. 340-278 B.C.) and his follower Song Yu (宋玉) (fourth century B.C.). The songs in this collection are more lyrical and romantic and represent a different tradition from the earlier Shijing. During the Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-A.D. 220), this form evolved into the fu, a poem usually in rhymed verse except for introductory and concluding passages that are in prose, often in the form of questions and answers. The era of disunity that followed the Han period saw the rise of romantic nature poetry heavily influenced by Taoism. The Han Chinese astronomer, mathematician, and inventor Zhang Heng (张衡)(78-139 AD) was also largely responsible for the early development of Shi poetry.
Investigation about Hotels in Yangshuo of China
The bus left at about 10AM and the time on the bus was good for me because one of our guests, Guenter, came with us to Yangshuo. He is at 71 old years old but is a man of incredible energy, we had a great talk during the driving, he was in crazy love of traveling, especially in traveling by bike. He is informed and knows many things and languages which helped me a lot to better understand him and the world outside. It would be a busy two days, so some of my colleague were resting in the bus.
Those embarrassing childhood pictures in China
We all have the odd photographic skeleton in our closets – those embarrassing childhood pictures that we hope never see the light of day.
But it seems that users of the Chinese equivalent to Twitter are more than happy to air their most cringeworthy snaps of bygone days.
Weibo users have been taking to the website in their droves to post hundreds of hilariously awkward pictures to amuse their friends using a hashtag that translates as 'showing off some embarrassing photos of our childhood'.
Some seem to have been taken for festivals or special occasions – the red dots on the children's heads are for beauty or good luck.
The photos, many of which appear to date back to the eighties and early nineties, show the youngsters in a range of bizarre outfits and wearing far too much make up.
Many of the photos appear to have been shot in a studio – with children giving grown up props such as cigarettes that one can only assume are fake.
