Mr. Zhou Qiang Launches 11th Chinese Bridge

Zhou Qiang launches the opening ceremony. Zhou Qiang, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee attended and launched the opening ceremony of the 11th Chinese Bridge Competition. Chinese religion: The term ru 儒

There were "Confucians before Confucius" (Li-Hsiang Lisa Rosenlee, Confucianism and Women: A Philosophical Interpretation). The corresponding Chinese term is ru 儒, which is interpreted by ancient philologists as "soft" or "peaceful" (rou 柔: Shuowen jiezi 說文解字, Zheng Xuan's 鄭玄 commentary to the Liji 禮記) , meaning someone who is able to appease and becalm others by a certain decent behaviour. Other commentators use the word "smoothener" (ru 濡: Zheng Xuan, Huang Kan's 皇侃 commentary to the Shuowen jiezi) for such a mediating position. The ru are mediators not only between man and man, but especially between Heaven, Earth and Man (Fayan 法言). For this task, they need constancy (buyi 不易: Hanshi waizhuan 韓氏外傳) as well as the right expertise (shu 術, ji 伎) to discern (Fengsu tongyi 風俗通義) what is proper and what not. Seen from the inscriptions on oracle bones, it seems that the word ru 濡 was a kind of ritual washing performed before sacrifices were performed.

Martial arts— — Shaolin Kung Fu 少林功夫

Shaolin Kung Fu is one of key of Chinese traditional martial arts. The concept of Shaolin kung fu originated when Huang Zongxi defined Chinese martial arts as either the Shaolin school or the Wudang school. You also sometimes hear the Shaolin school referred to as the external school, and the Wudang school referred to as the internal school. This was 1669, and since then people call external Chinese martial arts “Shaolin kung fu” even if the style or student has no affiliation to the Shaolin monastery. Learning the Shaolin fundamentals can help anyone improve their understand of the martial arts and help them better protect themselves in case they are attacked.
