Cam:  It’s time to perfect Chinese your way in only 5 minutes a day. Welcome to Chinese Studio here on China Radio International.  I’m Cam.
YJ:  Dajia hao… wo shi Yajie.  Cam, you were telling me that you have a hard time at the bank, because the tellers don’t speak English.
Cam:  Right.  All I want to do is withdraw some money!
Yajie:  That’s easy.  Listen to Key Words of the Day.

Yajie:  Welcome to a brand new week on Chinese Studio.  Wo shi Yajie.
Cam:  Dajia hao, wo shi Cam.  Yajie, the bill paying system is so different in China.  A few weeks ago, my phone was disconnected because I hadn’t paid the bill.  But I never received a bill!
Yajie:  Well, in China, we have to pay the bills by a certain time at the bank without receiving any bill.
Cam:  I wish somebody would’ve told me!  But what do I say when I go to the bank?
Yajie:  Listen up!

Yajie:  Cam, you should be an expert now when ordering food in a Chinese restaurant.
Cam:  Yes, for the last couple of weeks on Chinese Studio, we’ve been learning how to order food, drinks, call the waiter or waitress over, and all sorts of useful expressions.  But now the meal is ending, I’m full and we need to wrap up the transaction.
Yajie:  Okay, but we have one more restaurant lesson.  Let’s check Key Words of the Day.

Cam:  Yajie, last week was fabulous on Chinese Studio.  We learned what to say when we walk into a restaurant, and some very unique dishes that we can try.
YJ:  Yes.Well Cam, a dinner isn’t complete unless you have something to wash all that food down with.
Cam:  Right.  I need something to drink!

YJ: Hi, Wo3 shi4 YJ. Nice to have you with us again. I’m sure we’ll make a difference if we study for five minutes everyday.
