Zodiac Design Competition

The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Today Art Museum have recently unveiled a zodiac design competition for the upcoming Year of the Goat, inviting global artists and designers to bring their unique aesthetic to this old Chinese cultural entity.

Chinese Tea Culture 功夫茶 03 Chinese Tea House 茶馆

Tea house (Chaguan), a special place for the Chinese to have tea, is very popular in the Yangtze River area; it is mostly called tea house (Chalou) in provinces like Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan, and is called tea pavilion (Chating) in Beijing and Tianjin of north China. Historically, there are some other names for it, such as Chaliao, Chafang, Chasi, Chashe, Chayuan, Chawu and Chashi. Although these names vary, the forms and contents are basically the same.

火锅 Hotpot

A hotpot banquet(火锅宴huǒ guō yàn) was organized by Huaxiyanwei, an official WeChat account belonging to West China Metropolis Daily(华西都市报), for fans at a ski resort on Chengdu Xiling Snow Mountain(西岭雪山) on Dec 16. It took them more than two hours to reach the destination.火锅 huǒ guō Hotpot
